Lynn Murray's practice encompasses a wide variety of commercial litigation, with a special emphasis on intellectual property, insurance and antitrust disputes for clients such as Snap-on Tools, Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, Republic Technologies, CNA Insurance Company and Neopost Industrie B.V. Ms. Murray's intellectual property experience includes trials, arbitrations, preliminary injunction hearings and appeals on patent, trademark, trade dress and trade secret issues. Ms. Murray represents insurance clients in disputes relating to D & O insurance, ERISA, asbestos and mass tort coverage, and is an Editor of the upcoming ABA Manual For Complex Insurance Coverage Litigation. Ms. Murray has prosecuted, defended and counseled clients on many antitrust cases over the years. In addition to acting as trial counsel in distributor and employment litigation, Ms. Murray has negotiated global settlements of multi-dealer litigation, developed new distributor contracts and counseled clients on issues relating to dual channels, franchise disputes, independent contractor status, wrongful discharge, discrimination claims and breach of employment contracts. Ms. Murray is the firm’s former Managing Principal and currently is a member of the firm's Executive Committee. She has been profiled in the Chicago Lawyer (“Women Rise to Top Leadership at Three Chicago Firms”). She was voted a “Business Litigation Super Lawyer” in Chicago Magazine’s 2005-2007 editions, and as one of the “Top 50 Woman Attorneys in Illinois” in 2005 and 2007. Leading Lawyers Network identified her as one of the Top Woman Lawyers in Illinois. Ms. Murray has been named a Distinguished Alumna by the University of Illinois College of Law, and serves on the Board of Visitors for the College.
